WLI Open IT Skills Workshop to Mitigate Economic Effects of Covid-19 on Youths.

The executive Chairman of Women Leadership Institute (WLI) Ambassador Kema Chikwe has intimated the general public on new projects of the noble institute that has been championing the cause for economic and socio-political advancement of the female gender in the nation and beyond.

A collaboration letter and e banner containing detailed course module for an extensive training for Women and youths to gain entrepreneurial skills that can help position them advantageously for the coming economic depression and recession that the covid-19 pandemic has unleashed in the global economy is out from WLI.

Having  perfected plans for its 5 day intensive training workshop taking place from   the 28th  of September to 2nd October both virtually and onsite that will be covering 4 core tenets of the fundamentals of E-Business and E Commerce  dubbed IT SKILLS FOR PROGRESS WLI has appealed for scholarship for some of the interested participants from corporate organisations and philanthropic minded individuals.

Information technology experts from various academic backgrounds will be handling each of the 4 core tenets namely i. Computer Basics, ii. Microsoft office,  iii. E-Commerce / E-Business and iv. Virtual communication.

The participants are to gain extensive knowledge of Internet Access and Computer Essentials under Computer Basics, while acquiring Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power point and Microsoft word comprehensive knowledge under Microsoft office Module.

Those interested in E-Commerce and E-Business will acquire all the technical know-how regarding online sales, e- marketing, graphics and design , while participants in the Virtual Communication Class will emerge as professionals in navigating virtual platforms and electronic marketing expertise, as well as the skill of blogging and media branding.

The Women Leadership Initiative (WLI )believes that this are basic skills that can help the youths gain employable skills in a very short time, as well as equip themselves with the basic knowledge to professionalize their entrepreneurial engagements that they are already running, or as well set off on new economic journeys for themselves because financial independence is one of the greatest need of any human whether youth or adult at this time of assured uncertainties.

 These classes can be taken online or onsite and are affordable at 25,000 Naira for the virtual class and 30,000 Naira for the onsite class, and will be taking place in various cities.

 Parents, guardians and mentors has been urged to exploit this opportunity to help those who are dependents on them, there is also opportunity for corporate organisations to step in and sponsor youths with scholarships  to participate in these classes that will equip them with the basic knowledge for their socio-economic advancement.
