Tasieobi Global Foundation a global initiative for youth development founded by Mr. Elvis Tasieobi and Spanish Kingdom Group a hospitality real estate and wine production conglomerate has resolved to join force with the Police Campaign against Cultism and other Vices (POCACOV).
POCACOV is an initiative from the office of the Nigeria Inspector General of Police IGP Adamu Abubakar Mohammed Npm, Mni to tame the high rate of youth’s restiveness and menace in our society.
The Chairman of Spanish Kingdom Group Mr. Onyeka Ogbatu ( Don Perry) recently paid a courtesy visit to CSP. Ebere Amaraizu the national coordinator of POCACOV at the IGP Adamu Abubukar Mohammed Resource Center Enugu.
During the brief discourse that ensued from the visit, Spanish Kingdom Group chairman Mr. Ogbatu emphasized on the spate of the rise of cultism and other vices in our society and the need to demolish these social monsters by deconstructing their underlying influences to the youth.
“These challenges and the dangers they pose to the well being of the people requires a collective response from everyone in the society to ensure its elimination regardless of our gender, tribe ,religion and status, as anyone can become a victim, so the earlier we deal with this scourge the better for us all.” Mr.Ogbatu affirmed.
On the other hand, the founder of Tasieobi Global Foundation Mr. Elvis Tasieobi said his foundation presently embarked on a nationwide sensitization and reorientation of youths in primary and secondary schools against nefarious activities, as it’s a wind that blows no one good and has the potential to consume any member of the society since no one is immune from its tragic consequences.
“Parents have a lot more to do to put their wards in check, as the bulk of the responsibility lies with the parents, most of these cases are as a result of poor parenting and upbringings as parents are too busy for their wards due to the harsh economic realities.” He said.
The synergy between the corporate, the civic society organisation and the Police on the mission of POCAVOV will be impactful and worthwhile as the courtesy visit from the C.E.O’s of Tasieobi Global Foundation and Spanish Kingdom Group to CSP. Ebere Amaraizu when enforced into a pact will produce and enhance the formidable platform in the fight against cultism and other vices which POCACOV stands for.
CSP. Ebere Amaraizu the national coordinator of POCACOV appreciated their efforts and passion to be part of this noble initiative which is very dear to the IGP and promised them that POCACOV will never disappoint in his mission in creating a safer society for our youths and not with gun but words.
