Recording Academy announced nominations for the 2022 Grammy Awards, and Nigerian singer and one-time Grammy winner, Wizkid, breaks records again. A nomination in the Best Global Music Album Category for “Made in Lagos” and Best Global Music Performance for “Essence” brings his total Grammy nominations to four, making him the second most nominated Nigerian artist in Grammy history.
Wizkid’s career has been on a remarkable ascent since the artist first went mainstream. Fans have come to expect nothing but the best from him, and he delivers every time.
Within this year he has received several awards including the Net Honours Award for Most Popular Musician Male Category and Most Played Song R&B Category. And his most recent win at the AFRIMMA awards where he carted away with three awards for Best African Collaboration, Song Of The Year and Artist Of The Year. He also won the Best African Act at the MTV EMA Awards.
