Obowo Decides Group- An independent research think-tank group based in Nigeria has concluded  arrangements for LIVE DEBATE for Imo State House of Assembly  Candidates.

According to the Press Release made available to Newsmen by Obowo Decides Organizing Secretary; Deacon Chuka Obaego.

It states as follows;

“Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN) Imo State Chapter in Partnership with International Human Rights Commission IHRC is organizing a Debate for  Imo State House of Assembly Candidates In Obowo State Constituency.

“OBOWO DECIDES LIVE DEBATE would be the first of it’s kind in the history of Obowo Politics.

We are thrilled at the response of the electorates as we head into the electoral year”

“We are glad to launch OBOWO DECIDES, a Non Governmental, non-profit and independent research think-tank. We are conducting opinion polls on matters of public policy, like public engagement and participation in democratic exercise,”

He averred  that as an agency with the sole aim of ensuring excellence in the promotion of credible elections, participatory democracy, human rights, and strengthening of governance institutions for the consolidation of democracy practice.

The organization is calling for Media Partners, Civic Society Groups as Facilitators of the event

Candidates seeking for elective positions are encouraged to seize the opportunity of being part of this historic program so as to have interactive session with electorates.

Nigerians across the globe would be able to follow the program via our LIVE streaming and coverage”

  “Obowo Decides has no connection, relationship or link with any politician or organization interested in Imo politics, but purely for data collection,  the organization’s credibility  speaks volumes for itself.

We will partner with Civic Societies Groups, Religious Organization to make it a transparent process .”

Speaking further, he said the Live Debate which was initially scheduled for  26th December 2022 will now hold on Sunday 29th January 2023  is strictly by Invitation.
