The House member elect of the March 18th House of Assembly Election in Imo State, Hon. Modestus Abiazie Osakwe has broken the silence, 24 Hours after he was declared the winner of the election that was completed with a supplementary poll on Saturday the 15th of April 2023.
The Isu enthusiast, has urged every Isu constituent to open their hearts for a new beginning, regardless of the tensive and pensive incidents that trailed the last election. like expected ,Hon.Modestus Osakwe have urged all Isu people to disregard all the frictions that were ushered into their harmonic relationship ,and tow the path of forgiveness regardless of who is adjudged as the victim or the perpetrator.
The elite community leader who is widely loved by his people for his innovative and in-depth approach to issues of concern to Ndi Isu, replicated in every of his strides that the 21st century democracy requires someone with community problem solving skill. And the jubilation and ocean of congratulations that has trailed his victory is because of the fact that he is a proven master of participative leadership.
His victory message to his constituency members embodies his sobriety and understanding of the need for tolerance,forgiveness and harmonic co-existence of all Isu people, with no one considered as opposition, for without unity there will be no progress.

”Good Evening Umu Isu,
Peace of God be unto all of us now and forever.
Yesterday, Sunday 16th April 2023 will remain a day history was made in Amurie Omanze and Isu LGA as INEC willfully and correctly declared me as the winner of the tightly contested Isu State Constituency Seat.
This will however bring the agitation of the good people of Amurie Omanze to an end in their quest to have a shot at the Imo State House of Assembly like her sister communities in the LGA.
For a greater number of Isulites, it’s a prayer answered having yearned for a BETTER LIFE as impressed upon them by our Mantra.
And for me personally, it’s a jinx broken for my 3-times serial aspiration to the State Constituency Seat. It’s also a confirmation of the challenges that lie ahead and my resolve to alleviate them through purposefull legislation and thorough fulfilment of my campaign promises as contained in my manifesto.
For family, friends and political colleagues, it’s a dream come true for the truest definition of a public servant and a God fearing individual to mount the saddle that the people can rejoice.
Furthermore, I want to specially appreciate Barr. KENNETH IWUNZE(APGA), Barr. EMEKA OZURUMBA(APC), Surv. OKEY UZOHUO(LP) and Candidates of other Parties who made the contest a serious affair and reawakened the consciousness of our people to Elect, rather than Select.
We all won afterall.
I’m a team player like you all know and I pledge to work closely with all Candidates I contested with to harmonise their positive blueprints to have an all inclusive Isu LGA.
Being a political contest, all Candidates used means soothing to them to prosecute it as winning is the only focus.
For me, I appeal to all I wronged in the course of it to find a place in their hearts to forgive me, if you offended me, I have forgiven you and also plead God’s ultimate forgiveness as you probably didn’t know what you were doing.
All being said, I want to salute the resilience of Isu people who stood tall to express their burning desire to have me serve them.
Isu peoples unwavering doggedness on the 18th day of March, 2023 and 15th day of April, 2023 is the finest testament of the true change we really clamour for.
I won’t take Isulites for granted.
On this note, I plead for total peace, understanding and genuine reconciliation in our communities across party nomenclatures, that we can all heal perfectly and completely of the bruises and pains we bear.
I will make physical efforts in no distant time to reach out to all who are still sobbing and bear different degrees of grudge.
My effort and time will heal them all I pray.
Finally and unbeknownst to us, those sterling efforts of ours announced Isu to the world as a people of truth, faith and value and my representation will timeously reflect those core principles the world saw in us, so help me God.
I’m grateful to Isu PDP who trusted me with the ticket serially for 3 times, other parties and Isu people in general.
