Revealing the Intricate Layers of African Historical Narratives, s, The Teaching Artist Institute announces the Griot Chief Webinar Series “The Upper West Won: A New Narrative of the Enslavement Trade in Ghana.”

This extraordinary webinar is an enriching exploration of African history and resilience. Scheduled for February 13, 2024, 1:00 PM EST. this groundbreaking webinar series provides a platform for understanding and celebrating the strength and triumphs of African people throughout history. The series aims to shift perspectives and bring forth untold narratives, as we remember and celebrate Black History. The specific focus of “The Upper West Won: A New Narrative of the Enslavement Trade in Ghana” will shed light on an often-overlooked aspect of history, providing attendees with a fresh perspective on the impact of the enslavement trade in the region.
