Buhari Responsible for Nigeria’s Economic Hardship, Not Tinubu – Northern Group

A Northern group has attributed Nigeria’s current economic challenges to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, refuting claims that Bola Tinubu, a prominent politician and former Lagos State governor, is responsible.

In a statement released on Friday, the group expressed its views amidst ongoing political debates and ahead of the upcoming elections. They emphasized that Buhari’s policies and governance approach have significantly contributed to the nation’s economic woes.

The group pointed to factors such as rising inflation, unemployment rates, dwindling foreign reserves, and the devaluation of the national currency as evidence of the administration’s failure to steer the economy in the right direction.

While acknowledging Tinubu’s political influence, especially in the southwestern region of Nigeria, the group stressed that attributing the country’s economic challenges solely to him is misguided. They urged Nigerians to hold the current administration accountable for its policies and decisions that have adversely affected the nation’s economy.

This statement comes amidst growing political tension and speculation about potential presidential candidates for the next election cycle. It underscores the importance of objectively assessing the performance of political leaders and holding them accountable for their actions.

The group’s perspective adds another dimension to the ongoing discourse surrounding Nigeria’s economic trajectory and the role of political leadership in steering the country towards sustainable development.
