Imo State Independent Electoral Commission Announces Stakeholder Meeting

The Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) has announced a Stakeholder Meeting to discuss the upcoming 2024 Local Government Council Election. The meeting is scheduled to hold on June 19, 2024, at the New Hall, Rockview Hotel, Owerri, at 14:00 hours (2:00 pm prompt).

The meeting is invitation-only and is extended to all registered political parties, Chairmanship and Councilorship aspirants, Traditional Rulers, Presidents General, Sole Administrators, Opinion Leaders, Women and Youth Groups, Market Associations, Trade Groups, Civil Society Organizations, The Clergy, and Faith-Based Organizations, as well as Political Leaders.

  • The ISIEC Chairman, Chief Charles Ejjogu, signed the announcement and urged all invited stakeholders to attend the meeting, stressing that their presence will be highly appreciated.

The meeting aims to discuss the preparations and guidelines for the upcoming Local Government Council Election and to ensure a free, fair, and credible electoral process.

All stakeholders are expected to be seated by 1:45 pm, as the meeting will commence promptly at 2:00 pm.

This meeting is a crucial step towards ensuring a successful election, and the ISIEC encourages all stakeholders to participate actively in the discussion.
