Flutterwave Partners with EFCC to Combat Financial Fraud

On June 14, 2024, Flutterwave, Africa’s leading payments technology company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to establish a state-of-the-art Cybercrime Research Center.

Objectives:

– Intensify the fight against internet crime

– Enhance the security of business transactions

– Provide a sustainable lifeline to youths across the country

 

The center will focus on:

– Advanced fraud detection and prevention

– Collaborative research and policy development

– Youth empowerment and capacity building

– Technological advancement and resource enablement

This partnership aims to promote a fraud-free financial ecosystem, safeguard transactions across Africa, and combat financial crimes ¹ ².
