West Ham United has successfully secured the future of promising Nigerian midfielder Chinaza Nwosu, despite strong interest from top Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur.
Chinaza Nwosu, 16, has agreed to two new deals with West Ham United, as reported by Football Insider’s transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke. The teenager, who is also an England youth international, will first sign a scholarship deal with the Hammers before transitioning to a professional contract when he turns 17 next year.
In the past season, Nwosu played twelve matches in the U18 Premier League, starting in eight. He was also named as a substitute in the FA Youth Cup clash against Southampton. Internationally, Nwosu was part of the England U16 squad that won the Val De Marne Tournament in November 2023 and the Football Federations Cup in February 2024.
Despite approaches from Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur, Nwosu has chosen to continue his development at West Ham, demonstrating his commitment to the club.
