Turkish Super Lig outfit Trabzonspor and German Bundesliga side Stuttgart are gearing up for a heated transfer battle over Nigerian Super Eagles defender Jordan Torunarigha, Soccernet.ng can exclusively reveal.

Torunarigha, currently plying his trade at KAA Gent in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, has emerged as a prime target for both clubs. Born in Germany, the 1.91-meter tall center-back joined Gent in 2022 and has since made a significant impact, making 42 appearances and netting one goal during the last campaign.

With his contract set to expire in 2025, Torunarigha has indicated his openness to exploring new opportunities. In an interview with Transfermarkt, he stated, “There are very interesting and concrete conversations that I am currently having. My contract runs until 2025, and I am not in a hurry to leave. We will see what happens. I strive for the highest possible sporting goals. That certainly plays a role in my decision.”

Trabzonspor, currently in Hungary for their preseason preparations, has intensified their efforts in the transfer market and has identified Torunarigha as a top priority. Reports from Fotomac indicate that the Turkish club is eyeing the Super Eagles defender alongside other potential targets like Attila Szalai.
