FCT Police Arrest Woman for Gruesome Murder of Husband

Abuja, Nigeria – The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police have arrested Rahimat Salaum, a 23-year-old resident of Pegi, Abuja, in connection with the brutal murder of her husband. The arrest took place on July 29, 2024, around 6:00 p.m., following credible intelligence.

 

According to a statement from the FCT police command, Salaum was apprehended while attempting to flee with her husband’s belongings in a mini truck. She had been missing for three days prior to her arrest.

 

Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh revealed that Salaum confessed to killing her husband following a domestic altercation. She led officers to an unfinished building where the victim’s severely burned body was found.

 

SP Adeh assured the public that the investigation is ongoing and emphasized that justice will be pursued. She also encouraged residents to report suspicious activities through the police emergency lines.

 

FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, assured that the case will be thoroughly investigated and urged residents to remain vigilant and report any concerns to the police.
