Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State has been applauded for his approval of the construction of 141 roads across Enugu Urban as well as 20 rural roads.
Addressing newsmen in Enugu on Tuesday, the member representing Nkanu East Constituency, Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Okechukwu Anthony Mbah disclosed that Enugu’s governor has continued to show that leadership is a serious business with the manner in which he has been developing the state.
He stated that his constituency, just like others, is part of the beneficiaries of the 20 rural roads approved recently by the Enugu State Executive Council, which has brought about a joyous atmosphere across Nkanu East.
He also narrated the importance of such roads to the rural dwellers, saying it will solve critical problems facing his people and astronomically boost their economy.
“We are full of joy and happiness over the governor’s recent road construction approvals.”
“He has once again shown leadership focus and commitment to the welfare of the people.”
“Nara, Mburubu, Nome, Ugbawka, Nkerefi, Amagunze, and Akpawfu are all filled with ecstasy towards the governor.”
“In case you don’t know, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah approved the construction of Nomeh-Mburubu-Nara road with two bridges, approved Amagunze-Ihuokpara-Ugbawka road with a bridge, same with Nara-Nkerefi road.”
“These are crucial and critical to our growth and development because they will enhance mobility, promote agriculture, and attract investment to our constituency.”
“We are happy that such a development is coming our way, and we are committed to giving Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah the needed support to succeed.”
“There won’t be any dust again for people living in those areas. I am glad this is happening and happy to be part of it.”
The lawmaker also used the opportunity to call on all to support Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, saying that his development strides cut across the state.
He also commended his agricultural revolution policies in the state, where the state government cultivated 1,000 hectares of land at Nkanu East and Uzo Uwani last year to boost cassava production, including over 200,000 hectares of land which it has mapped out in the 17 Local Government Areas in Enugu State for other agricultural purposes.
