José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe side remains at the top of the Turkish Super Lig after a 2-0 win over Kasımpaşa on Sunday. Goals from Allan Saint-Maximin and Dusan Tadic secured the victory, keeping Fenerbahçe one point ahead of Galatasaray, who still have a game in hand. However, Mourinho expressed dissatisfaction with his players’ performance, especially in the second half.

Mourinho praised the team’s first-half control but criticized their lack of intensity after halftime. “We didn’t show the same desire, made too many technical mistakes, and failed to control the game,” he said. He attributed the drop in focus to the recent international break but emphasized the need for improvement before their upcoming Istanbul derby against Galatasaray next Saturday.

Galatasaray, defending champions and unbeaten this season, have been further strengthened by the arrival of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli. Despite the competition, Mourinho made a playful remark about Osimhen, showing he is ready for the challenge as the Istanbul derby looms.
