Niger Government Strengthens Ties with Brazil and Turkey

 

Abuja, Nigeria — September 21, 2024

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has engaged in separate meetings with the ambassadors of Brazil and Turkey to enhance bilateral relations. The meetings, held at their embassies in Abuja, focused on exploring investment opportunities, particularly in the agricultural sector.

 

During these discussions, Governor Bago outlined potential areas for cooperation, emphasizing mutual benefits. He expressed gratitude to both ambassadors for their support in fostering growth and development in Niger State.

 

Brazilian Ambassador Ricardo Guerra de Araujo and Turkish Ambassador Hidayet Bayraktar both reiterated their countries’ commitment to strengthening ties with Niger State.

 

Following the meetings, Governor Bago inspected a greenhouse established at the Turkish Embassy, where he pledged to provide greenhouse produce from Niger State for the embassy staff.

 

These initiatives reflect Niger State’s ongoing efforts to build strong international partnerships for economic development.
