Cricova Expands Presence in Africa with High-Profile Nigerian Events

Cricova, the renowned Moldovan wine brand, is making a bold impact on Africa’s wine and liquor market, with Nigeria as a key focal point. Known for its deep-rooted heritage and 120 km of underground wine cellars, Cricova recently played a prominent role in two significant Nigerian gatherings.

On October 24, Cricova graced the Orizu royal family’s ceremony in Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State, for the burial of Igwe Nnewi’s first wife. The following week, on November 1, the brand reappeared at the funeral of the father-in-law of businessman Chief Sir Henry Orabuchi in Oba. In partnership with Don Pee Wine and Beverages Ltd, Cricova’s official African distributor, the brand amplified its visibility by deploying 35 professional ushers, including Spanish nationals, to add an international flair to the event, all sporting Cricova-branded attire.

November 2 marked another high-profile event at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos, where the De Imperial Philanthropic Family’s annual gala night celebrated Cricova as its official drink of choice. This growing presence in prestigious events highlights Cricova’s appeal in Africa, especially Nigeria.

The brand’s premium collections, such as the Amplius Cuvee and XO, have rapidly gained a following among wine and liquor enthusiasts, positioning Cricova as a favorite for upscale gatherings in the region.
