Lagos, Nigeria – Nigerian social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has issued a stern ultimatum to dancer and singer Idowu Smart Emmanuel, aka Lil Smart, to provide evidence supporting his allegations against Naira Marley and Zinoleesky or face consequences.
The conflict began after VDM gave Lil Smart ₦1 million to book a flight for a planned meeting in Abuja, which the dancer ultimately skipped. In a recent statement, Lil Smart explained that he ghosted VDM because he found his handling of sensitive issues, including the late singer Mohbad’s case, to be questionable. He also claimed a lack of trust in VDM’s motives.
VDM has since demanded that Lil Smart either publicly present evidence to substantiate his claims against the Marlian Records CEO, Naira Marley, and his signee, Zinoleesky, or be held accountable for making baseless allegations.
“Naira Marley and Zinoleesky will face justice if Lil Smart provides proof of wrongdoing. But if he has no evidence, he must also face the consequences,” VDM said in a public address. “We cannot allow a culture where people make unsubstantiated allegations online just to gain attention or fame.”
Lil Smart previously alleged that Naira Marley and Zinoleesky were involved in misconduct but failed to provide concrete proof. In response, Zinoleesky denied the accusations, stating he had not seen Lil Smart in years. He also warned the dancer against using his name for publicity and hinted at potential legal action.
VDM’s challenge highlights growing tensions within Nigeria’s entertainment industry, where allegations are increasingly scrutinized, especially in high-profile cases involving public figures.
The social media feud has captured widespread attention, with observers urging both parties to resolve the matter constructively and focus on evidence-based discourse to maintain credibility.
The case continues to unfold as the public awaits further developments.
