Speed Darlington Set to Drop Another Diss Track, Offers ₦13,000 for Cover Art

Lagos, Nigeria – Controversial Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has announced plans to release a new diss track targeting Burna Boy, whom he refers to as “Longface.” The singer, known for his unfiltered statements and online drama, revealed that he is ready to pay ₦13,000 to a graphic designer for the track’s cover art.

In a recent video, Speed Darlington detailed his vision for the cover art, stating that it must depict Burna Boy allegedly offering an envelope of money to a police officer in an attempt to keep him in jail. He insisted that the officer’s face must not be visible in the artwork.

After some fans criticized the amount he was willing to pay for the design, Darlington later indicated he might increase the offer to ₦15,000.

This latest move is part of an ongoing dispute between Speed Darlington and Burna Boy. Darlington was recently released from detention after spending two months in custody over defamation claims against the Grammy-winning artist. Despite his legal troubles, he appears determined to continue his public attacks on Burna Boy.

Over time, Speed Darlington has repeatedly accused Burna Boy of various things, including questioning his sexuality. His latest diss track and its provocative cover art concept have fueled more reactions online.

Fans and followers had divided opinions about Darlington’s latest antics:

– @fine_marcelo: “You Dey find person wey you go send go jail because of ₦13k.”

– @dumbor_debeeh: “₦13k for a cover art? You guys don’t respect artists at all.”

– @7figureboss: “I’ll double the amount for anyone who can design exactly what Akpi wants.”

– @robert_william_2024: “Your mother isn’t ashamed that she gave birth to you?”

– @kingtufab: “Whoever designs this should remain anonymous unless they want to spend 2025 in Kuje prison.”

Following reports that Speed Darlington had been missing for several days, Burna Boy posted a cryptic tweet on X (formerly Twitter), asking, “Who is missing?” Many fans interpreted this as a subtle jab at Darlington’s situation.

Despite warnings from legal advisers, Speed Darlington appears committed to continuing his feud with Burna Boy. Fans now eagerly await the release of his diss track and its controversial cover art.

With Speed Darlington’s track expected to drop soon, all eyes are on whether Burna Boy will respond directly or let the controversy fade. For now, the internet is buzzing with anticipation over the latest chapter in their long-standing conflict.
