The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the sudden passing of actress Pat Ugwu at the age of 35. The heartbeaking news was shared by veteran actor Emeka Okoye onn social media, leaving fans and colleagues in shock.
Details surrounding Ugwu’s death remain unclear at this time, as no official statement has been released regarding the cause. However, her passing has sent waves of grief across Nollywood, with many expressing their condolences and disbelief online.
Emeka Okoye, who announced the actress’s death via his Instagram page, expressed regret that they never had the chance to work together. He wrote:
“Rest in peace, sis. Pat Ugwu. @patpat_ugwu so we no get to work again? Death whyooo? God please 😭😭😭. May your soul rest in the bosom of the Lord. God, please protect all my colleagues. This unusual death is frightening.”
