Nollywood actress Chika Ike has firmly rejected rumors connecting her to billionaire Ned Nwoko, following speculation that he is the father of her unborn child. The rumors gained traction after Ike shared her pregnancy announcement through maternity photos on social media. The speculation grew further when actress Regina Daniels, who is married to Nwoko, reportedly deactivated her Instagram account.
In a statement shared on her Instagram page, Ike expressed her frustration over the persistent media attention surrounding her personal life, particularly regarding her pregnancy. She explained that she had largely ignored previous rumors but felt compelled to address this particular one because it concerns her child.
“I am endlessly blessed and forever grateful,” Ike wrote, addressing her followers. She continued by dismissing the rumors as “false,” stating, “There have been all sorts of lies paddled about me in the media for years, but I always treated them like what they are, RUMOURS THAT NEEDED NO RESPONSE.” She also made it clear that Ned Nwoko is not the father of her child, emphasizing, “Ned isn’t the father of my child and whoever name you might come up with later with your guessing games… I’m not about to be anyone’s 7th wife.”
Ike further clarified that she is not interested in polygamy and that she has maintained her privacy throughout her pregnancy. “I’ve been pregnant for months now and no one even had a clue about my pregnancy until I announced it. You all think you’ll know who the father of my child is or anything happening in my life? Very laughable and Clueless!” she wrote.
In her final statement, Ike asserted her right to privacy, saying, “Keep digging and coming up with your false news. I don’t care about rumours because I understand it comes with my career choice. The only reason I’m responding to this rumour is because this is about my child. My privacy is my peace and NO ONE can unsettle me.”
Ike’s response highlights her determination to keep her personal life out of the public eye while focusing on the joy of her pregnancy.
