Ayra Starr Breaks Record With One Billion YouTube Views

Nigerian music sensation Ayra Starr has made history by becoming the first Nigerian female singer to hit 1 billion views on YouTube. At just 23 years old, she now holds the title of the most viewed Nigerian female artist of all time on the platform, overtaking Yemi Alade who previously held the record with 805 million views.

This major achievement is largely driven by the massive success of her Grammy-nominated hit single “Rush”, which alone has garnered over 450 million views.

By crossing the 1 billion mark, Ayra Starr joins an elite list of Nigerian music stars, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Rem,  and P-Square, who have each surpassed the milestone on YouTube.

Ayra Starr’s achievement not only reflects her rising global influence but also marks a proud moment for African female artists making their mark on the world stage.
