The Minister of State for Defence, Alhaji Bello Matawalle, has donated 3,000 rams to supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State as part of efforts to support the Sallah celebrations and alleviate economic hardship among constituents.
At the distribution event held in Gusau, the APC State Chairman, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani, said that 1,400 rams were distributed across the 14 local government areas, with each LGA receiving 100 rams. These were directed to party officials at the local government, ward, and polling unit levels.
The remaining 1,600 rams Danfulani noted, were allocated to women, youths, senior citizens, and other vulnerable groups throughout the state.
“This generous donation will go a long way in easing the burden of Sallah for many people,” Danfulani said, praising the minister’s commitment to party members and community welfare.
He also extended appreciation to other party leaders in the state, including Senator Abdulaziz Yari and Muktar Idris, for their continued support of the APC grassroots base.
Danfulani further urged Zamfara residents to support federal efforts in tackling insecurity by supplying credible information to security agencies on criminal elements and hideouts.
As Eid-el-Kabir approaches, gestures such as this highlight the intersection of political influence, charity, and grassroots engagement during festive seasons in Nigeria.
