Nigerian Eye Editor Congratulates Hon.Ebisike on Appointment to GADA Board

Aba, Nigeria – The Editor of Nigerian Eye Newspaper  has extended heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Chimaobi Ebisike on his recent appointment as a member of the Board of the Greater Aba Development Authority (GADA). The appointment has been widely lauded as a recognition of his enduring commitment to the growth and revitalization of Aba — a city once regarded as the industrial heartbeat of Eastern Nigeria.

In a congratulatory statement, Nigerian Eye praised Hon. Ebisike’s wealth of experience, his legacy of grassroots engagement, and his years of unwavering service to the people of Aba. The paper noted that his presence on the GADA Board is both strategic and timely.

This appointment clearly reflects your deep-rooted commitment to the development of Aba and the wealth of experience you bring to the table,” the statement read.

Hon. Ebisike previously represented Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency in the 9th National Assembly and was celebrated for attracting major development projects to the region despite challenging circumstances.

You brought significant developments to Aba in your past offices in the government,” the statement noted.

Your commitment to the development of Aba earned you the name “Chi-ma-obi-ndi-Aba*”

In calling for renewed focus, Nigerian Eye Editor urged Hon. Ebisike to leverage his position to prioritize Aba, restoring it to its historic role as a major economic powerhouse not just in Abia State but in all of southeastern Nigeria.

This appointment is a call to greater service, urging you to do even more for the community by contributing your vision to the development of the city,” the statement continued.

The newspaper emphasized the vital role Aba has historically played in Nigeria’s commercial landscape. In the 1980s, Aba was a thriving place of trade and industry, attracting businesspeople from Imo, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and even Cameroon and Gabon. Its famous markets like Ariaria and robust small-scale manufacturing sector made the city an economic jewel.

Aba’s growth is not just important for Abia State, but for the wider South East and neighboring regions,” the statement added.

“Restoring the city’s former glory will uplift commerce, create jobs, and stimulate cross-border trade.”

The newspaper also thanked the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, for his vision in appointing capable hands like Hon. Ebisike to drive sustainable development.

To His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti OFR, thank you for recognizing, we commend you for the creation of GADA and also for the choice of Hon. Chimaobi Ebisike, we are hopeful that he will live up to the expectation”

Hon. Ebisike’s journey from a Sales Representative at the NNPC Depot in Port Harcourt to becoming an Independent Marketer and CEO of Mobison Oil and Gas underscores his entrepreneurial acumen. His over 10 years as Deputy Chairman of Aba North LGA also reflect his dedication to public service.

As Aba stands at the crossroads of rebirth, all eyes are on GADA and Hon. Ebisike to champion policies and projects that will restore the city’s lost prestige.

“Congratulations once again, Hon. Chimaobi Ebisike, Ndi Aba are  confident in your  capacity to lead the new Aba renaissance alongside Gov.Otti and are hopefull that you will establish  vision driven projects for the town and  initiate the relationship and collaborations that will enhance the repositioning of Aba” the statement concluded.
