The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has held a prayer gathering to seek God’s intervention in the ongoing nationwide strike action by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC). The prayer session, which took place on Monday, was attended by party leadership and members, as well as religious leaders.
The service was divided into two sessions, with the first session held at a chapel and the second session held at the residence of Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. The congregation prayed for eight specific points, including peace and wisdom for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, resolution of the nation’s economic and security challenges, and God’s intervention in the ongoing strike.
The APC state chairman, Austin Agada, emphasized that the prayer gathering was organized to commemorate President Tinubu’s first anniversary in office and to seek divine guidance and intervention in the ongoing nationwide strike. Agada promised that the state and the north-central geopolitical zone would continue to support the president and pray for his success in office.
This development comes as the nation faces ongoing economic and security challenges, and the organized labor unions continue their strike action. The APC’s prayer gathering is seen as a move to seek divine intervention in the situation.
