First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has urged young people to focus on positive endeavors and embrace creativity. Her remarks came during a visit to the Yunus Emre Institute in Maitama, Abuja, at the invitation of the First Lady of the Republic of Turkey, Mrs. Emine Erdogan.
The Yunus Emre Institute, established by the Turkish Government, aims to train Nigerians in creative arts and facilitate cultural exchanges between Nigeria and Turkey.
“This center provides great opportunities for you to live your dreams as artists,” Mrs. Tinubu said. “You are not only learning about Turkey but also actualizing your dreams. Believe in what you are doing, and as long as you set your mind to it, you will succeed. Dream big, but do not despise the days of humble beginnings.”
During her visit, Mrs. Tinubu inspected several paintings by female Nigerian artists exhibited at the center. She expressed her admiration for their creativity and encouraged them to continue expressing positivity through their art.
Additionally, Mrs. Tinubu visited a classroom where children from an orphanage are receiving formal education, funded by the Turkish Embassy in Nigeria. She praised the initiative and stressed the importance of education in nurturing young minds.
The First Lady’s visit highlighted the significance of cultural exchange and the role of creativity in empowering youth. Her encouragement is expected to inspire many young Nigerians to pursue their artistic talents and contribute positively to society.
