**Uba-Chinaka Stanley Applauds Hon. Chimaobi Atu’s Achievements as Nigeria Marks 64th Independence Anniversary**

As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence Anniversary, Uba-Chinaka Stanley, an international project management expert and CEO of Kinka Investment Ltd, lauds the remarkable accomplishments of Hon. Chimaobi Atu, the representative of Enugu North/South Federal Constituency.

Uba Stanley, a successful businessman with significant achievements in real estate, oil and gas, trade, and investments, as well as the CEO of Big Cat Security Services UK and Director of Eli-Asiize Global Investment Ltd, expressed his admiration for Hon. Atu’s contributions both in the National Assembly and within his constituency. As a concerned citizen and a constituent of Enugu North, Stanley highlighted Hon. Atu’s dedication, leadership, and transformative work as a source of pride and inspiration for the people.

In the dynamic world of Nigerian politics, Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu, the representative of Enugu North/South Federal Constituency, made an indelible mark in just one year. Known for his dedication to his constituents and his vision for alleviating inequality, Hon. Atu’s first year in office was nothing short of remarkable, demonstrating his readiness for the task from day one.

One of the highlights of Hon. Atu’s tenure was his unwavering commitment to improving infrastructure in his constituency. He prioritized the grading and construction of rural and semi-rural roads to ease transportation challenges for residents. Notable road projects under his leadership included the Ndafuafa-Obeagu link Road, the Maryland Estate-Monarch-Ndiagu Amechi Road, the Methodist Church-Isiagu Ugwuaji Road, and the Obeagu Community Road. These developments improved connectivity and enhanced the quality of life for thousands of residents.

Hon. Atu’s impact extended beyond his constituency. His work in the House of Representatives was characterized by proactive and visionary leadership. He made history by presenting the first motion of the 10th National Assembly, addressing the pressing issue of gully erosion—a critical concern for many communities across Nigeria. His subsequent motions focused on security, infrastructure, and social welfare.

Furthermore, Hon. Atu sponsored thirteen bills aimed at addressing a broad range of issues affecting Nigerians. These included the Federal Medical Centre Bill, the Erosion Control Prevention Commission Bill, and the National Football Academy Bill. These legislative efforts reflected his comprehensive approach to governance, tackling issues that ranged from healthcare and education to environmental protection.

As a representative, Hon. Atu showed a deep commitment to youth empowerment. Understanding the need to provide opportunities for young people, he partnered with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to launch a skills development program targeting youths. This initiative focused on training in chemical product production and marketing, aimed at providing young residents with practical skills that could help them achieve economic independence.

In May 2023, Hon. Atu also organized a four-day training and empowerment program for senior secondary students and fresh school leavers from Enugu North and South constituencies. The event, which took place from May 14 to May 18 at PPSM New Hall adjacent to NTA Enugu, equipped participants with the skills necessary to foster self-reliance.

As part of his campaign promise to promote grassroots sports, Hon. Atu delivered on his pledge by organizing and sponsoring the Coal City Under-15 football tournament. Sixteen teams participated in the event, which served as a platform for identifying and nurturing young football talents in Enugu State. The winning team not only emerged as champions of the National School Under-15 Football Championship in Abuja but also represented Nigeria at the Continental School Under-15 tournament in Togo, where they finished third.

Hon. Atu’s hands-on involvement in this initiative, accompanying the team throughout their journey, demonstrated his dedication to youth development beyond just politics.

Hon. Atu’s leadership style was defined by his accessibility and strong connection to his constituents. He maintained an open-door policy, regularly engaging with the people of Enugu both in Abuja and at home. His responsiveness to the concerns and feedback from his constituents earned him widespread admiration and trust.

In addition to his work on infrastructure and youth development, Hon. Atu was actively involved in providing direct support to his constituents. During the 2024 Easter and Sallah celebrations, he distributed over 5,000 bags of rice to his constituents, regardless of political affiliation, further demonstrating his commitment to the welfare of his people.

Hon. Atu’s focus on education was evident in his scholarship programs. Over 100 students benefited from his WAEC, JAMB, and university scholarship initiatives, and more scholarships were already planned for the coming academic year. These scholarships aimed to reduce the financial burden on students from disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring they had access to quality education.

Earlier this year, Hon. Atu visited the Industrial Chemistry Department at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), where he pledged to renovate and re-equip the department’s laboratory. “I will do my best to help my Alma Mater!” Hon. Atu declared during his visit. This act of generosity underscored his commitment to supporting institutions that shaped his own journey and reflected his broader vision for improving education infrastructure.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, the Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria elevated Hon. Chimaobi Atu to the position of Fellow of the Institute during a ceremony in Lagos. The Chief Registrar of the Institute, Chemist Wilford Jwalshik, highlighted that the award was a recognition of Hon. Atu’s unwavering support for the chemical and production industries in Nigeria.

Hon. Atu, a graduate of Industrial Chemistry from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, had long been a dedicated member of the institute. Recently, he organized a five-day training and empowerment program in Enugu, where over 159 SS2/SS3 students and fresh school leavers were trained in the production and marketing of chemical products. These participants were also provided with startup materials and cash to help kick-start their entrepreneurial journeys.

As Hon. Chimaobi Atu continued his tenure, it was clear that his work had only just begun. With a focus on infrastructure development, legislative excellence, youth empowerment, and community engagement, he set a high bar for public service. His remarkable achievements in just one year demonstrated that his commitment to his constituency was not only sincere but deeply impactful. Hon. Atu’s journey is proof that with perseverance and dedication, leadership can truly bring about lasting change. It can only get better with God.
