In an atmosphere of appreciation and high regard, the All Africa Media Network has honored the birthday of one of Africa’s most innovative minds—Osita Oparaugo. He is the visionary founder of GetBundi and Doballi, two groundbreaking platforms that are redefining digital learning and tech recruitment across the African continent.
In 2019, while many rejoiced over the World Bank’s projection of Africa having 477 million youths between 17 and 35 by 2030, Oparaugo took a different stance. He saw a future problem: what use is a large youth population if they lack the skills needed to thrive in a digital economy?
This question gave birth to GetBundi, a digital education platform designed to equip young Africans with essential digital literacy across eight core competencies. The platform is steadily gaining recognition across the continent for its focused approach to closing the skills gap.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the shift toward remote work revealed a new challenge—many global employers found hiring from Africa unpredictable. Once again, Oparaugo responded with a solution: Doballi, an AI-powered recruitment platform. Doballi rigorously tests and vets African tech talents, ensuring global companies can confidently hire skilled professionals from the continent.
Doballi’s legitimacy was further bolstered by a strategic innovation license from the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), where the platform is now registered. This move positioned Africa firmly on the global tech map.
Osita Oparaugo’s influence extends beyond technology—his leadership, passion, and deep belief in the potential of African youth have inspired many. Described as a mentor, problem-solver, and visionary, he continues to break new ground and create lasting change.
As the world celebrates his birthday, we salute a man who dared to dream and brought that dream to life—for Africa and for the future.
Happy birthday, Osita Oparaugo—the Spirit of Africa.
