The Polytechnic Nekede, under the leadership of Engr. Dr. Michael Chidiebere Arimanwa (FNSE) did not sack any lecturer from the institution and does not have plans to do so.
The public is therefore advised to disregard the news making the rounds that the polytechnic sacked 200 of her lecturers for no just reason.
Questions begging for answers from those who are peddling the rumour are: how many lecturers are at present teaching in the institution, that 200 will be sacked in one swoop?
Who and what are the names of the lecturers sacked? From which departments were they sacked? For what reason(s) were they sacked?
It will interest the public to know that there are procedures to lay off staff of the institution provided by the Polytechnic’s Act and other extant laws.
You will recall that there has been rumour being peddled by some print and electronic media about an increase in school fees at Federal Polytechnic Nekede, which only happened within the imagination of the peddlers.
We will in the interest of the public, continue to dispel such rumours by properly informing and always putting the records straight.
Media Team,
Federal Polytechnic, Nekede.
