The Umueze Mbieri born philanthropist, Hon. Chimaroke Oparaugo, has said he is spurred by the Merit Award bestowed on him by council of Mbieri Youth Presidents led by Hon. Chinagorom Azuoma to do more for the teeming youths of Mbieri.
The award, which was in recognition of his excellent contributions and commitment to the growth and development of sports in the clan, especially his sponsorship to the first Mbieri Youths Unity Cup was presented to him yesterday at the Renaissance Club Field, Mbieri.
The choice of Chimaroke for the award was no doubt in recognition of his giant strides in the area of youths and sports development in Mbieri since decades, Hon. Chinagorom Azuoma remarked.
In his reaction, Engr. Chimaroke who was represented by Hon. Bethel Iwuoha dedicated the award to the entire Youths of Mbieri as he praised them for their commitment to his vision for youths and sports development in Mbieri, and Imo State at large.
An elated Chimaroke said “This is not a personal award. It is for Mbieri Youths, and a great motivation so I’m not going to get complacent. It is a call for me to do more. The remaining years for me in Mbieri are for me to keep contributing, and work harder to leave behind more enduring legacies.”
“Again, I salute the Youth leadership from my community Umuomumu, Umueze to Mbieri at large for their unity, and ideas in making our land conducive for us to succeed, God will rewarding you all” Chimaroke added.
