The event will also mark the 22nd **African Traditional Medicine Day**.
The week-long celebration, scheduled from October 16 to 18, 2024, will feature various activities aimed at promoting and recognizing the importance of traditional medicine in the country and across Africa.
### Key Highlights of the Event:
1. **October 16, 2024**: A float by traditional medicine practitioners will kick off the celebrations. The float will begin at 8:00 AM, starting from the Accra Art Centre and proceeding to the Osu Presbyterian Hall. The event will conclude at 4:00 PM.
2. **October 17, 2024**: The official commemoration of African Traditional Medicine Day will take place at the Accra International Conference Centre. A keynote address will be delivered by Hon. D. Bernard Okoe Boye, focusing on the progress and future of traditional medicine in Ghana. The program will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
3. **October 18, 2024**: The week will conclude with an exhibition, symposium, and an awards ceremony to honor individuals who have excelled in various fields of traditional medicine development. The event, scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, will feature several prominent traditional medicine practitioners and organizations, including Ola Mame Herbal Centre, COA Herbal, Baah Herbal, Power Specialist Herbal, and others.
