Air Peace Limited has denied rumors that it plans to double fares on its domestic flights, including the popular Lagos-Abuja route. Reports circulated last week suggested that the airline would increase one-way ticket prices from approximately ₦100,000 to ₦200,000, effective November 1, 2024.
In a statement released on Sunday, Air Peace dismissed the claims as “false” and confirmed the information did not come from the airline. The statement, shared on the company’s verified social media channel, urged customers to rely only on official sources for accurate updates.
“Our attention has been drawn to reports and images circulating online regarding a purported 100% fare increase by Air Peace Limited. We would like to categorically state that this information is false and did not originate from Air Peace,” the statement read.
Air Peace further reassured passengers that it remains committed to fair and transparent pricing, emphasizing that customer satisfaction is a priority. The airline encouraged customers to disregard the unverified report and continue following only Air Peace’s official platforms for any pricing updates.
This announcement aims to prevent further confusion among passengers amid recent discussions around rising costs in the aviation sector.
