Interactive Artivism Discussion at University of Ghana Today

 

The University of Ghana Legon invites the public to a thought-provoking session on “Artivism 101,” an engaging discussion on the intersection of art and activism. Taking place today, December 12, 2024, at the Dance Department, this event will showcase leading voices from East, Central, and West Africa who are at the forefront of using art as a tool for social change.

 

The panel will feature renowned activists and artists such as Ernesto Yeboah, Namata Serumaga Rusisi, Mugisha Ali Allan, and Bush Sebar. These speakers bring a wealth of experience and unique perspectives to the conversation, representing movements like Africans Rising and Invisible Kids Academy.

 

Organized in collaboration with the Teaching Artist Institute (TAI), this event is designed to inspire action, creativity, and collaboration, fostering dialogue around art’s power in advocating for justice, equality, and progress.

 

The session begins at 4:30 PM and is open to students, artists, and the general public. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with leading African artists and changemakers at the University of Ghana, the Pinnacle of Knowledge.
