TADC-CCI concludes Nigeria Agribusiness Tour Eyes ECOWAS Wide Impact

The African Diaspora Collective Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TADC) proudly announces the completion of its powerful and purpose-driven Nigeria Agribusiness and Cultural Expansion Tour last week, marking a historic step in expanding operations from Ghana to Nigeria and paving the way for broader engagement across the ECOWAS region, with plans for Côte d’Ivoire and Liberia in the coming months.

Led by TADC-CCI Founder also the Goodwill Ambassador of Georgia, USA, Ambassador Davisha L Johnson is a newly naturalized citizen of Ghana. This mission was deeply personal and symbolic. Ambassador Johnsons’ citizenship was granted through Ghana’s Diaspora Engagement Program, initiated by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who made history by conferring citizenship to 524 descendants of the Transatlantic Slave Trade—the largest mass citizenship ceremony of its kind in African history. TADC-CCI proudly had 10 of its members among those honored. This act not only affirmed a reconnection with the continent but embodied the vision of a united African family—restoring legacy, land, and leadership.

Originally planned as a shorter 2 week visit, the trip was extended by two weeks, a decision that proved to be both destined and transformative. “Our time in Lagos offered rich cultural exchanges, strategic partnerships, and a warm welcome from Nigerian institutions and people alike.” states Ambassador Johnson county

During a heartfelt speech by our Ambassador, it was proclaimed that Nigeria is home for those of us returning after over 400 years, a moment that resonated with every member of the delegation. In Nigeria, we were not seen simply as investors, but as long-lost brothers and sisters coming home—a sentiment that speaks volumes to the spirit of Pan-Africanism we are building through our chamber.

Key Accomplishments from the Nigeria Tour:
Delivered the Goodwill Message at the National Association of Organic Agricultural Practitioners of Nigeria (NOAN), engaging national leadership including Dr. Jude, the Lagos Chapter, and proud alumni of our International Organic Farming Program, now serving in NOAN leadership.
Closed a distribution deal for a Liberian delegate’s African-made skincare product line, Green Beauty, expanding reach in Nigerian markets.

Secured a new partnership for airline services to improve logistics and mobility across the West African region.
Engaged with a variety of impactful vendors, including Teas by Bella, a local innovator who grows and processes flowers into teas directly from her home garden.

Built connections with farmer associations across Nigeria’s Southwest geopolitical zone, where we will launch our national pilot program starting with 16 states, as mentioned in our Goodwill Address.
Met with federal ministry of Agriculture representatives, private sector leaders, oil industry representatives, and farmers preparing for export readiness.

Regional Expansion and ECOWAS Integration

As we look ahead, TADC is preparing to expand into Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire) and Niger to engage Francophone West Africa and offer our programs and models across all ECOWAS member states. We are initiating dialogue with the ECOWAS Commission to support regional integration, agricultural development, and diaspora-driven trade, in alignment with the goals of AfCFTA and Agenda 2063.

This month, we return to Nigeria to host a two-day workshop series, in collaboration with our Ambassador, to:

Train local farmers on building One Hectare Sustainable Farms
Prepare them for organic export certification
Introduce our International Organic Farming Professional Development Program
Promote community-led, self-sustaining food systems

Join the Movement
TADC continues to champion its Education to Job Creation model, hiring graduates from our training programs and building pathways for youth and women in agribusiness, trade, and innovation.
