Renowned Scholars to Speak at Catherine Acholonu Memorial Lecture

 

The Catherine Acholonu Centre for African Cultural Sciences is pleased to invite the public to the Catherine Acholonu Memorial Lecture, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 15th October 2024, at 10:00am. The event will be held at the Princess Alexandria Hall, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State.

 

This year’s lecture features an impressive lineup of guest speakers, including Emeritus Prof. Alex Animalu, a former lecturer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA. Prof. Chukwuma Christian Opata of the Department of History & International Studies, UNN, Enugu State, and Dr. Ajay Prabhakar, Co-Founder of the Catherine Acholonu Centre for African Cultural Sciences, will also deliver keynote speeches.

 

The theme of the lecture is “Igbo Origins of Humanity & World Civilization – A Reconstruction of the Prehistory of Black African Indigenous Peoples.” This thought-provoking topic promises to spark interesting discussions and insights into the rich cultural heritage of Africa.

 

The Catherine Acholonu Centre for African Cultural Sciences aims to promote and preserve African cultural sciences, and this memorial lecture is a testament to their commitment to this cause.
