Gunmen Kill Woman in Ekiti State, Residents in Fear

Residents of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, are living in fear after gunmen shot and killed a middle-aged woman on Saturday morning. This incident comes after four people were killed in similar circumstances in the past few weeks.

The woman was standing by the road near the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti Continuing Education Center, off NTA road, when the gunmen approached her on a bike. They tried to take her bag, but she resisted, and they shot her dead.

The incident caused panic in the area, with many people running for safety and traders closing their shops. The police were called to the scene, and the body was taken to the morgue. The police found N40,280 in her bag and are now investigating the incident as a robbery.

The Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sunday Abutu, said the police are working to catch the criminals. The residents of Ado-Ekiti are now living in fear, wondering who will be next. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward to help them solve the case.
