In attempt to effectively represent the good people of Nkanu East Constituency, Hon Okey Mbah, the Deputy Minority Whip of Enugu State House of Assembly, has aggressively embarked on advocacy visits to institutions and agencies for collaboration to attract development to his constituency, Nkanu East LGA.
One of such visits was to the Regional Coordinator, Southern Nigeria, Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office(FCDO), Enugu, Dr Olachi Chuks-Ronnie. The House Member was warmly received by Dr Olachi in her Office in Enugu today, 15th day of August, 2023.
The Regional Coordinator was enthused and appreciative of the uncommon zeal of the innovative lawmaker to scout and garner collaborative supports to develop Nkanu East Constituency in few weeks of his inauguration as the representative of his people.
She encouraged the parliamentarian to be resilient on his quest for development and likened such zeal to that of His Excellency, Dr Peter Mbah, who has shown receptive commitments in collaborating with international agencies to develop Enugu State.
In this era of transformative financial reforms led by President Tinubu, Nigerian’s are burdened with economic inconsistencies following the removal of subsidy few months, as well as the unification of all segments of the Nigerian Forex market, which has slowly weakened the Naira significantly against the United States dollar at the Investors and Exporters window since CBN allowed the local fiat to trade ‘freely’ in an effort to reset the nation’s monetary policy.
The 21st century democracy requires leaders that shares both idealist and realist characteristics in their social development and problem solving philosophy to salvage the complex issues and challenges in developing nations.
Hon. Okey Mba’s dynamic effort towards upward trajectory of Nkanu East and Enugu State in general is hinged on his understanding of how things are with the people ,the state of the nation and what needs to be done. The astute lawmaker is taking the bull by the horn and leading with practical efforts aimed at redirecting and lifting his constituency and Enugu at large with the developmental blueprint of Gov. Peter Mbah.
