How Peter Obi reacted to the campaign poster with Saraki

A recently surfaced poster suggesting a 2027 presidential ticket featuring Peter Obi, the former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, and Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President, has been dismissed by Obi’s media team as a baseless rumor.

The poster, which has been circulating online, depicts Saraki as the presidential candidate with Obi as his vice-presidential running mate. It carries the slogan, “Let’s restore our country back, come 2027.” However, the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) has labeled the image as a “figment of people’s imagination,” with no basis in reality.

Yunusa Tanko, the spokesperson for the POMR, addressed the issue, stating, “It’s just people’s imagination. There’s no hint of a presidential run, but we’re working for the good of the people.”

As of now, neither Obi nor Saraki has made any official declaration regarding their intention to run in the 2027 presidential election. Saraki remains a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), while Obi continues to be affiliated with the Labour Party, following his departure from the PDP ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

The circulating poster appears to be speculative, with no confirmed political plans from either Obi or Saraki for the 2027 election.
