2Baba’s Mother Begs Natasha Osawaru to ‘Free Her Son’ Amid Divorce Drama

The mother of Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has made an emotional plea to Edo State lawmaker Hon. Natasha Osawaru, urging her to “free her son.”

In a viral video on Thursday evening, Mrs. Rose Idibia called on Nigerian mothers to help her appeal to Osawaru, claiming that 2Baba is not in his right state of mind due to his ongoing divorce from his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia.

“Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2Baba. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I am calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son,” she said.

According to Mrs. Idibia, the singer is going through a difficult time and may not be making decisions rationally.

“My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him,” she added.

She also mentioned concerns about certain beads Osawaru allegedly placed on 2Baba, urging the lawmaker to remove them.

“Please, Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and on his neck, remove them and free him,” she pleaded.

Mrs. Idibia’s plea comes shortly after a viral video showed 2Baba proposing to Osawaru, who is the granddaughter of Edo billionaire businessman, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion.

In the video, the singer and the lawmaker were seen dancing together in the presence of friends before 2Baba presented her with a ring. The couple then shared a long embrace, further fueling speculation about their relationship.

The proposal came just a day after 2Baba publicly confirmed his romance with Osawaru, following his separation from Annie Idibia. The news has since sparked intense discussions on social media.

Amid criticism directed at Osawaru, 2Baba took to Instagram to defend her.

“Hon. Natasha has been dragged, called all sorts of names, and labeled a homebreaker. She had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage,” he said in a video message.

He further expressed his love for the lawmaker, saying, “Yes, I love her. She is amazing, and she is cool. I want to marry her.”

With the controversy surrounding 2Baba’s personal life growing, it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold in the coming days.
