Nigeria embraces diaspora as TADC‑CCI, CEMT expand OHSF project

The African Diaspora Collective Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TADC‑CCI) has officially launched its operations in Nigeria, opening new offices in Abuja and Yenagoa. This marks the first phase of a six‑state delegation focused on expanding the Global Black Supply Chain and rolling out the Fight for 15 Global Compact in partnership with local farmers and entrepreneurs.

After six years of work in Ghana, TADC‑CCI chose Nigeria as its next strategic hub for diaspora engagement, sustainable agriculture, and economic cooperation. The Abuja office in Maitama opened on April 9, followed by the Bayelsa office inauguration on April 15, reinforcing long‑term commitments to business development across the country.

During the visit, the delegation signed its first Fight for 15 Global Compact agreement with a Nigerian smallholder farmer and toured a pilot site for the One Hectare Sustainable Farm Project. In Imo State, they met a university professor leading a federally funded ₦50 million cattle research project to discuss hosting a future farm site and the 2026 IAASC Summit.

In Bayelsa, TADC‑CCI co‑host planning sessions for the upcoming IAASC Summit with Hon. David Alagoa’s local government, and they inspected the Urban Farming Training Center in Yenagoa as a future diaspora‑agriculture exchange hub. Green Beauty, a Liberian skincare company on the tour, secured partnerships with Nigerian farmers to source raw ingredients locally, showcasing the power of the Global Black Supply Chain.

The delegation extended heartfelt thanks to traditional and civic leaders, including King Alfred Diete‑Spiff, Eze Chuckwudi J. Ihenetu, King Denohbeh Grear, Professor Prosper Ayawei, and Hon. David Alagoa, whose support was crucial to the mission’s success.

With Nigeria’s citizenship‑by‑investment program and major funding from the African Development Bank and World Bank flowing into agriculture and infrastructure, TADC‑CCI is exploring moving its “December in Ghana” cultural‑commerce initiative to Nigeria—inviting diaspora business leaders, artists, and policymakers to invest, celebrate, and grow together.
