How a Nollywood Queen is helping Nigerian Youths in their Fight against Corona Virus

A UK based Nollywood movie producer, actress and PR Guru  Queen Theodora Ibekwe Oyebade has disclosed her plans to share 1.5Million Naira of her hard earned cash to at least 400 Nigerian youths between the ages of 18 to 25.

Queen Theodora Oyebade the founder and first president of Actors Guild of Nollywood UK has commenced the execution of her plans to support Nigerian youths  who are at idle at home  following the halt in academic, economic and social activities  that resulted from the Corona virus outbreak.

“The reason why am doing this is because everyone is at home out of Corona virus outbreak and I want this young ones to simply entertain themselves ,get  busy with research and study on the internet,  if possible create contents as well which requires data, this activities can assist them in complying to the stay at home directives”

The Modest Actress who was bestowed a chieftaincy title of  “ Ada-ka Ibe ya Ezenwanyi Nollywood UK” by a traditional King ,in a conferment ceremony held in River State Nigeria in 2014 has cautioned her would be benefactors to use the stipend judiciously as she is not doing this to show affluence since she is not rich or wealthy but rather understands the challenge that this situation pose to the youths who are vibrant with energy and being told to stay away from their daily activities and must find another avenue to let off the steam.

She will be giving out 1.5million Naira targeting 400 youths as each person is expected to receive 2000  or 2500 Naira to support their purchase of data in order to enable them empower themselves with free knowledge and info online depending on their areas of interest.

She has urged the people interested or who knows anyone that deserves her stipend to get on YouTube, subscribe to her channel and to share the video of the directives on how to benefit from her largess to at least 50 other people they believe will need her pittance to support their internet subscription. In the same video she guided her would be benefactors on the steps to take and the information’s to provide to ensure they receive the stipend.

The veteran has come a long way from broadcast media to events organising ,acting and movie producing in the UK  ,She has starred alongside the best the industry can offer from Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Van Vicker to Her Excellency Mrs. Fatima Maada Bio the current first lady of Sierra Leone.

Her  movie  credits include Heavy Mama in London; Shattered Hearts; Amina; Shameful Deceit;  which she also produced; 18 Carat Mama; Mum Dad Meet Sam; Murderer-in-Law;  Basira in London.

Queen Theodora is passionate about making people smile; entertaining them; motivating them to be the best they can be and this her philanthropic gesture to Nigerian youths has further confirmed that royalty is truly in her blood for it takes a true leader to stand for others in times like these that uncertainties over an on-going  crisis has pervaded every area of our lives.
