Successful Burial Ceremony Held for Late Ezinne Josephine Enunwa Maluze

 

Enugu, Nigeria – August 20, 2024

The family of the late Ezinne Josephine Enunwa Maluze, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, has expressed deep gratitude for the support received during her funeral rites. The ceremonies, which took place over several days, saw the participation of family, friends, and well-wishers who gathered to honor her life and legacy.

 

Ezinne Josephine Maluze, born in 1940, passed away earlier this year, leaving behind a legacy cherished by those who knew her. The burial events commenced on Friday, August 9, 2024, with a wake held at her residence on Chime Avenue, New Haven, Enugu. The following week, on August 16, 2024, another wake was held at her home in Onuoka-Ogwofia, Mgbagbu Owa, where the community paid their last respects.

The funeral mass was held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Mgbagbu Owa, Ezeagu LGA, Enugu State. The mass was followed by her interment at the Maluze family compound in Onuoka-Ogwofia, Mgbagbu Owa. The day concluded with a funeral ceremony at St. Joseph’s Primary School field, Ogwofia Ozom, Mgbagbuowa. The following day, a thanksgiving mass was held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Ozom Mgbagbuowa, in Ezeagu LGA, marking the final event of the burial proceedings.

The event was attended by several notable figures, including Hon. Chimaobi Atu, the Member representing Enugu North and South in the National Assembly. His presence was noted during the ceremony, where he was seen in a white outfit complemented by a red cap, paying his respects to the late matriarch.

 

In a heartfelt message shared by Mr. Nnaemeka Stanley, known as Rapara Smith on behalf of the Maluze family, special thanks were extended to all those who supported ESV Tochukwu Charles Maluze, the son of the deceased, during his time of grief. Mr. Stanley commended the maturity, decorum, and participatory spirit displayed by friends, brothers, and associates who stood by the family.

As the family concludes the activities related to the burial, Mr. Tochukwu  Maluze  expressed his gratitude to all those that supported the family.

 

The Maluze family also used the opportunity to thank everyone for their contributions and prayers during this difficult time, expressing their deepest appreciation for the outpouring of love and support and prayed for the peaceful repose of his mother’s soul.
